ABOUT SIESTA KEY
Key is a barrier island
located directly off of Sarasota's coast in Sarasota County, Florida. According
to the U.S. Census Bureau, and based on the 2010 Census, this census-designated
place (CDP) has an approximate population of 6,565.
Siesta Key Beach is the
core of the island, and is known for it's cool, soft, and white sand (comprised
of 99% quartz) and incredible vistas of the Gulf of Mexico. In 2011, expert Dr.
Stephen Leatherman (also known as “Dr. Beach”) recognized Siesta Key Beach as
America's best beach.
Beach, located at the South end of Siesta Key, serves as a great alternative to
